turns out that the cancer isn't as bad as was first thought by the media, he has more than five weeks, but no one has said a "full recovery"

While that is much better news, it still really sucks.

For the love of God, someone check Sam Elliot for cancer!

Q: What is RiffTrax?

A: RiffTrax are comedic MP3 tracks that you play in-sync with your favorite movies. Written and performed by the stars of the award-winning TV series Mystery Science Theater 3000, RiffTrax brings the unique humor of "Satellite of Love" partners Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett to Hollywood's hit movies.

This sounds so awful.

Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier did commentary for the DVD release. It's pretty awesome in its own right.

are you kidding me? the MST3K guys are fucking hilarious (although sometimes their jokes are based on making fun of REALLY old actors/actresses)

I remember turning this show on once back in the day and I could barely get through 2 minutes of dude and his robots "riffing" on some old movie. it sounded like one of those ZANY morning radio show type of humor. UGH.

They're horrible.

I went to Stone Brew Pub for Rifftrax live, they were showing Matrix 2, and it was funny as hell. Right before the movie starts they have Mike and Kevin (from MST3K) give away a prize for anyone that could answer any movie question they had. The question was "from the movie Roadhouse, what was Dalton's philosophy on pain?"

I answered without a pause. "pain don't hurt"

Then the bonus question was "What was Dalton's philosophy on fighting?"

I didn't get this, even though I quickly remembered it was that no one wins a fight.

Anyway, the rifftrax for Roadhouse is funny as hell, and as Die once told me, "if you laugh a few times at a movie it's worth it, because there are so many 'comedic' movies that will make you laugh zero times."

PS if you havent' had Stone's Pale Ale you're missing out on good American beer

They make it look like a comedy from the preview but it's a fucking lame drama. :x

Are you sure Tim McCarver didn't say this?

It was either me, Tim McCarver or Michael Ian Black.

I watched Road House again today.
