Stephen King's DARK TOWER

My only wish is that TBS becomes the "Roadhouse" channel... then the circle will be complete

^ Starring everybody's favorite black guy who could play ANY CHARACTER EVER REGARDLESS OF RACE OF SAID CHARACTER

AKA YOUR NEXT JAMES BOND

hopefully, they will do the source material some justice. The graphic novels that came out a few years back were pretty nicely done.

sighs......

I guess.

Arguably the best epic lit of the modern age. Who cares if Roland is black, or if Oy the Billy Bumbler is a corgi-fox hybrid turned into an iguana. Just as long as they do it right.

But by what authority do you change these things? I mean I could see Liam Neeson, or Josh Brolin as the Gunslinger. Make ya boy Idris the man in black...

Idk. :?

Love, love, LOVE the Dark Tower. If you've read it, I find it absolutely IMPOSSIBLE that you don't picture Clint Eastwood as Roland. The character is clearly designed to resemble him; tall, thin, tanned, with steely blue squinting eyes. The perfect cowboy. So every reader sees this:

...and the logical cast modern actor is Stringer Bell.

What's more irritating is that they have Mcconaughey in as Flagg, who would have been the best available not 200 year old actor to play Roland. Why not cast him as Roland, and then you're home?

Also, Jake is what I always want Carl from TWD to be, just a badass kid with crazy skills and wisdom beyond his years. Hope Jake isn't an emo-haired douche.

I wonder if Susannah (a black schizophrenic) is going to be played by Mila Kunis?

Yes, Brolin could have been good, too. The long, lean, features of Roland seem distant from his squarish features, but it wouldn't be obvious script-flip that this is. Brolin can play the tough Western role, no question there.

Ugh. He looks ridiculous. Skepticism for this movie is ramping up.
